The good weather’s coming and with it walks in the park, picnics… and going for a stroll with the kids. But what can we make for their afternoon snack? We suggest a sandwich, but with very special bread: horchata bread. How does that sound?
Here’s the recipe so that you can make the best bread of all: mum’s bread.
400 g strong flour
240 ml Costa UHT Horchata
1 beaten egg
80 g butter
30 g sugar
1 sachet of dried yeast
Step by step:
1. Put all the ingredients into a bowl and work them together to make a compact, elastic ball.
2. Grease the mould, put the dough in and cover it.
3. Leave the dough to stand for 1 – 1½ hours, until it doubles its volume.
4. Bake at 150º for about 45-50 minutes.
