Theodora Smile Parade
We like nothing more than taking part in initiatives as nice as this one… even more so if it’s to help children.
On Thursday March 10th the Theodora Smile Parade is to be held, a charity event to benefit the Theodora foundation, which works to try to make children and teenagers’ stay in the 20 hospitals with which the Smile Doctors work more human.
The show will star the Smile Doctors costumes. Fifteen costumes designed by students at the Barreira school and top national designers. After the show the costumes will be auctioned to raise funds.
The Smile Doctors are hospital entertainers who work for free. They have a range of specialities: magicians, clowns, actors, storytellers and more – all adapted to the hospital environment.
Visits by these doctors generate smiles and fun to help release tensions in hospitalised children, as well as their families and healthcare staff.
